Meet The Artist

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Lynn Soloway is a former faculty member (1985-2019) in the Department of Art at Concordia University, Nebraska. She earned three degrees in painting and drawing: BFA, 1968, Kent State University, Kent Ohio; MA in drawing, 1970, The University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa; MFA in painting, 1971, The University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. Before co-designing the graphic design program at Concordia, Prof. Soloway previously held teaching appointments at The University of Tennessee-Knoxville, The University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Nebraska Wesleyan University-Lincoln.

Ms. Soloway has exhibited her drawings and paintings in numerous juried and solo exhibitions throughout the USA. Her one-of-a-kind Oberon adornment designs are retailed in several art museum shops, art galleries, and art-to-wear boutiques. In 2018, Ms. Soloway retired from academia, and currently maintains her drawing and jewelry studios in her home in rural Seward, Nebraska.
